Since early 2000 there has been a growing problem in the United States with drywall imported from China. This Chinese Drywall problem has sparked health concerns as well as several lawsuits.
It has become so much of a problem that home owners insurance companies are now starting to refuse to renew any home owner’s insurance policy if they have made any claims regarding the Chinese drywall used in their homes.
The Chinese Drywall problems have costs some home owners and insurance companies hundreds of thousands of dollars in repair bills. Home owners have been forced to replace all of the Chinese drywall not to mention the damage to pipes, air conditioning units and electrical wiring due to the Chinese drywall in order to live safely in their new homes.
